URBNSURF Melbourne is among the excited businesses that are able to re-open their doors this weekend.

Australia’s first surf park which is based at Tullamarine will have the waves ready for surfers to get their fix.

Across the last 18 months, the business has been closed more than it has been open.

Initially a maximum of 50 guests on site at any time and up to 25 surfers in the two-hectare surfing lagoon per hour.

Chief executive Damon Tudor said the company was beyond stoked after a crazy couple of years

“All Melburnians deserve a much-needed reprieve from the extended lockdowns, working from home and homeschooling with an escape in the waves to feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

“In the coming weeks in addition to surfing perfect waves, Melbournians will have more to look forward to as restrictions ease further.

“The Three Blue Ducks restaurant will offer seated service again, and private sessions, surf lessons and spectator passes will resume in early November.

“The new skate pad, day beds, heated cabanas and the playground area will also be available for everyone to enjoy.”

Bookings are required with all patrons needing to show proof of vaccination on entry.
