Two teenagers arrested over St Kilda stabbing

A17-year-old Taylors Hill youth has been arrested and interviewed by police as part of the investigation into the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old Tarneit man in St Kilda on December 4.

A 16-year-old Kurunjang boy was also arrested.

Both were charged with affray and violent disorder in relation to the incident.

Emergency services were called to St Kilda beach just after 7.30pm on December 4 following reports of people fighting.

The teenage victim was found with stab wounds on the beach near Pier Road.

The exact circumstances and motivation for the incident are still under investigation and detectives are keen to speak to anyone with further information.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and has mobile phone vision, CCTV or dash-cam footage.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and police expect to arrest several more people in relation to the stabbing.

The Taylor’s Hill boy has also been charged with aggravated burglary in relation to a separate matter.
