Two St Albans people charged with trafficking

Two St Albans residents have been charged with drug trafficking as part of an investigation into cultivating and trafficking cannabis plants.

Police this week executed warrants in Braybrook, Keilor Downs, Berwick, Seaford, Hampton Park and Koo Wee Rup as part of the investigation.

More then 300 cannabis plants were located along with six hydroponic setups.

A 34-year-old man from St Albans and a 33-year-old woman from St Albans were arrested in Koo Wee Rup on Monday morning.

They face a number of charges including trafficking a commercial quantity and cultivating a commercial quantity.

Both were remanded in custody until January.
