Two men charged following alleged police car ramming in Rockbank

Two men have been charged after allegedly ramming a police car and injuring an officer in Rockbank at the weekend.
Police attempted to intercept a 1999 Holden Jackaroo on the Western Highway about 1am on Saturday, July 21,
Police said the driver stopped on the freeway and reversed into the police car before speeding off. A female officer’s hand was injured as a result of the collusion.
The two offenders, a 21-year-old Melton man and a 24-year-old man from no fixed address, have been charged with aggravated intentional exposure of police officer to risk by driving, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, and other related offences.
The 24-year-old will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court today. The Melton man will appear at the same court on August 9.
