Two Brimbank teenagers charged following St Albans carjacking

Two Brimbank teenagers have been charged following a traumatic carjacking in St Albans on Monday night.

A family was left shaken when their BMW station wagon was stolen after being confronted by a group of youths at 11.30pm in George Street.

A 14-year-old from St Albans has been charged with aggravated burglary, robbery, attempted armed robbery, recklessly causing injury and theft of a motor vehicle.

He has been bailed and will face a children’s court at a later date.

A 17-year-old boy from Cairnlea has been charged with the same offences and has been remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court.
