Two arrested in relation to St Albans death

Two further people have been charged as part of an investigation into the fatal stabbing of a man in St Albans earlier this month.

A 45-year-old Thomastown woman and a 40-year-old Thomastown man were charged with murder on Monday afternoon.

A third person, a 33-year-old man from St Albans, was earlier charged with murder on Friday, July 8.

Police also arrested a 44-year-old Essendon North man in relation to drug matters.

The charges follow an incident on July 6, when an injured man was found on an Emily Street nature strip about 11.45pm.

Police provided first aid to the man before ambulance paramedics arrived.

The 49-year-old St Albans man died at the scene.
