Police have arrested two St Albans traders as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking and handling of stolen goods.
A 48-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.
Police executed a search warrant at Face 2 Face Pawnbrokers and Second hand Dealers in St Albans about 11am this morning.
Media officer Thomas O’Bryne said a residential address in Leslie Street was also searched.
“Police have so far located a small amount of ice, cash and suspected stolen property,” he said.
“The investigation is being conducted by members from Brimbank Crime investigation Unit, Brimbank Divisional Response Unit, Dog Squad and other specialist services.”
The arrest comes just days after an intelligence gathering operation wrapped up in the suburb.
