Trio charged over Footscray party house trashing

Three men have been charged with criminal damage over the alleged trashing of a short-stay rental property in Footscray earlier this month.

Police were called to the Ryan Street property following reports of an out of control party about 7.30am on Sunday, May 6.

Police say the property, which was rented for the night, sustained significant damage internally and externally.

Police executed warrants at homes in Wollert, Point Cook and Deer Park on Wednesday.

They arrested and charged a 20-year-old Wollert man, an 18-year-old Point Cook man and an 18 year-old Deer Park man with criminal damage.

The three men were each bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on September 13.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a further two men.

Detectives have released images of the two men in they hope they will be recognised.
