It’s never been so easy to nominate a great Australian living in Brimbank for an Australia Day Award.

Nominations are now being accepted and close at 5pm on November 25.

For the first time they can be lodged online.

There are nine different award categories: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Wellbeing, Environmental Achievement, Cultural Achievement, Educator of the Year, Essential Services Excellence, Lifetime Achievement and Community Sport Achievement.

While the Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year nominees must live in Brimbank, all other categories are open to residents of Brimbank or individuals and groups who do their good work within the municipality.
