The show goes on

ELS School of Dance returned to live performances with a bang.

The Kealba dance school pulled together three shows late last week.

ELS took their concert outdoors to the Melbourne Showgrounds, bringing together all the hard work of their students in person.

Director Emma Scott said they were proud to have been able to pull together a show so quickly.

“A few weeks ago, the prospect of a concert was off the table, now, in only three weeks, the ELS team have worked together to put on a show that our students will never forget.

“ELS prides itself on being a community first, dance school second and we believe that it is the strength of our community that has helped us not only survive the pandemic but bring together such an amazing show for our students.

“Our dancers have been so resilient over the past two years, even when our studio doors were closed they have still showed up every week on Zoom. It was inspiring to see their passion for dance flourish even online after two years”.

Ms Scott said the shows were a reward for the hard work of the whole dance community.

To give these kids something to look forward to and seeing their smiles on the stage on Sunday made all of our hard work worth it.”
