Free hugs were top of the curriculum at Victoria University Secondary College at St Albans last month.
The school hosted a successful R U OK? day, organised by its student representative council with support from Good Shepherd, headspace and Beyond Blue.
There were free activities for students and entertainment from Youth Movement, a leading force in engaging young people across the western suburbs.
“It’s important for students and the community to know that asking R U OK? could change or save the life of a young person,” student organiser Yuksel Ismael said.
