St Albans and Deer Park libraries will both close for two days in May to allow for upgrades.
The St Albans Library will be closed on May 11 and 12 and the Deer Park Library will be closed on May 19 and 20.
The closures will allow for the replacement and installation of new shelving.
It’s hoped the improvements will allow for better library programming, as the new shelving will be on castors for easy movement.
The flexible spaces will allow greater capacity for library-run events, and provide increased options for the community to attend programs.
The new shelves will also be at a lower height, allowing all members of the community to access books without the need for assistance.
Deer Park Library’s study booths and computer room will remain open during that library’s closure, with bookings essential.
During the closures, click and collect and click and collect printing services will be available.
The four other Brimbank Libraries will be operating as usual during the closures.
