Police have charged a Wyndham Vale teenager, following a series of robberies across Melbourne’s east and west during the past month.
Police said the 17-year-old, who is unlicensed, allegedly stole a vehicle, cash and other items after committing a burglary at a residence in Delahey on February 10.
The teenager also allegedly committed robberies at service stations in Sunbury on February 13; Truganina on February 14; Bundoora and Preston on February 15; Thomastown on the February 17; a Docklands supermarket on February 18 and another service station in Truganina on February 19.
Police arrested the teenager yesterday on Grant Street, St Albans about 5.20pm.
Detectives have charged the teenager with 16 charges including armed robbery, robbery, theft of motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, theft, committing an indictable offence while on bail and traffic offences.
The Wyndham Vale boy has been remanded to appear at a Children’s Court later today.
