A Taylors Hill woman has been left speechless after winning more than $1.15 million in Saturday night’s Tattslotto draw.

The woman received an email on Sunday morning telling her she had won something in the draw. She was in disbelief when she found out that she was one of five division 1 winners, who will take home $1,156,990.80 each.

“I discovered the news on Sunday morning, but I couldn’t quite believe it,” she said.

“I got an email on Sunday morning telling me I had won something, but it didn’t tell me how much.

“It usually lets you know exactly how much you’ve won, so I thought maybe I had won a few thousand dollars.

“So I checked my ticket number, and there it was right in front of me. It was surreal. I was speechless.

“I never expected it to happen! The most I’ve ever won is $100!”

The woman said she had been playing TattsLotto for about a year.

The woman said the news was yet to sink in.

“I’m not sure what we’ll do with it,” she laughed.

“It’s all just too surreal, and it’s still sinking in. Hopefully, once we see it in our bank accounts, we can start planning.

“I’m glad it’s a public holiday today, so I don’t have to try and work. I’d have been too distracted.”

The winning ticket was purchased at CTC Taylors Hill / Tatts in Taylors Hill.

Owner Michael Merhi said he was excited to discover his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

It’s the third time in four years that the outlet has sold a division 1 ticket.

“We had been saying that we had a feeling we would sell a winning entry that weekend, and we did,” he exclaimed.

“When we heard the news, we told all of the wonderful team that we sold a winner, and they were thrilled.

“We’ve decorated the store in celebration and will be telling all of our customers we’ve sold a division one winning entry.

“Our customers will be so happy for the winner and us. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate another amazing milestone in our outlet.”
