A Taylors Hill teenager has been arrested in relation to a violent car jacking in East Malvern earlier this month.
North West Metro detectives arrested the 17-year-old after executing search warrants in Taylors Hill and Sunshine North on Wednesday afternoon.
The teen has been questioned in relation to the theft of a Mercedes, intentionally causing injury, handling stolen goods and assault.
Leading Senior Constable Julie-Anne Newman said he was released pending further inquiries and was expected to be charged on summons.
Leading Senior Constable Newman said another teenager was arrested in Caroline Springs on the day of the June 21 incident.
He has been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, theft of motor car, fraudulently use false plates and other assault related offences and has been remanded to appear at the Children’s Court.
