Tarneit man charged with murder

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a Tarneit man with murder, following an alleged incident in Geelong on Monday.

A 41-year-old Colac man was located with life-threatening injuries in Ritchie Boulevard at Eastern Beach about 11.50pm, and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The Colac man died from his injuries this morning.

Homicide Squad detectives today interviewed an 18-year-old Tarneit man and an 18-year-old Hillside woman.

The Tarneit man has been charged with one count of murder and will appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The Hillside woman was released pending further inquiries.
