Watergardens Town Centre and the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation are joining forces.

Watergardens Walkers, an initiative helping the community increase fitness and improve health, was launched last Thursday.

Each Thursday at 7pm, Sons of the West graduate Terry Charles will lead the group on a 2-hour, in-centre walk.

Watergardens Town Centre senior marketing manager Julie Watson said the program was a fantastic opportunity to help keep up fitness, form new friendships, and ensure those who have graduated from the Sons and Daughters of the West programs continue to hit their health goals.

“The Watergardens Walkers is a rewarding program for our local community, giving people a wonderful opportunity to keep active, whilst in a safe and social environment that is out of the elements, avoiding those cold Melbourne winters,” Ms Watson said.

“Anyone is welcome to participate, and with 34 walkers already registered with the Watergardens group, you are sure to join a motivating group of like-minded people.”

To participate, register online via the Watergardens Town Centre website or call 9361 5511.
