Surfers head to URBNSURF

Eighty professional surfers are set to rip up the waves in an Australia-first event on Saturday, December 10.

These surfers from all across Australia and Oceania will compete in the Rip Curl Pro URBNSURF QS1,000 at URBNSURF Melbourne, Tullamarine in the first World Surf League QS competition to be held in a Wavegarden Cove.

Aussie surfing legend, Owen Wright will be onsite from 10am joined by number nine in the world, Connor O’Leary. The finals will take place 4.30pm – 5.30pm and URBNSURF will be showing their new air wave as an expression session in the middle of the day around 3.25pm.

There will also be live acoustic music from The Grogans adding to the summer vibe. They will be followed by a series of DJs who will play into the night with a variety of food and drink on offer throughout the day.
