Brimbank parents are encouraged to have a look at the long list of fun activities in store as part of this year’s Children’s Week celebrations, including a teddy bear picnic at the Sunvale Community Park in Sunshine.
This year’s Children’s Week theme is ‘All children have the right to a standard of living that supports their wellbeing and healthy development’, a theme drawn from Article 27 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Taking place from October 22 to 30, Braybrook Community Hub is hosting a wide range of activities throughout the week including a Junior Bots session on Tuesday, October 25, a knitting Crafternoon session on Wednesday, October 26 and a multicultural playgroup session on Thursday, October 27.
The teddy bear picnic is taking place at the Sunvale Community Park on Wednesday, October 26 from 11am to 2pm, with family-friendly activities including a picnic fairy and teddy bear performing on stage and roving through the audience, a bike ‘n’ blend, a performance from an Afro-Latin band and a visit from the Maternal and Child Health Line outreach bus.
