Sunshine West house fire to be investigated

A Sunshine West house has been damaged following a house fire this morning.

Fire Rescue Victoria crews attended the Dinnell Street property about 9.30am following a number of calls to Triple-0.

Callers reported the top level of the two-storey brick and weatherboard home was fully alight.

The owners were not a home at the time of the fire.

The fire was declared under control about 40 minutes after firefighters arrived.

Fire investigators will be attending to determine the cause with firefighters to remain on the scene until the house is deemed safe.
