Fire Rescue Victoria [FRV] has confirmed crews have extinguished an industrial fire in Sunshine West.
Star Weekly previously reported that FRV and the Environmental Protection Agency [EPA] were responding to a fire at a closed landfill on Somerville Road.
FRV confirmed today that they responded to a fire in Sunshine West following a call to Triple-0 just before 12pm on Tuesday, October 18.
FRV said crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire with the incident declared under control at 12.19pm.
The scene was then handed back to the site managers.
The EPA confirmed that it was a relatively small fire and they will monitor the site for any ongoing environmental concerns.
