It’s time to warm up your singing voice ahead of the Sunshine Presbyterian Church’s carols by candlelight event.

The church will hold its annual carols service on Saturday, December 14.

Church member Esther Cho said the event has become a popular fixture on the Sunshine Christmas calendar, with the church hosting carols for the past 15 years.

She said the service will be a family event. A community barbecue will be held before the carols.

“We try to engage our neighbours to participate in the event and celebrate Christmas,“ Ms Cho said.

“It’s an open event for people of all faiths.“

The carols service will feature performances by congregation members, as well as the Sudanese church.

“It’s a night of music and a message of hope,“ Ms Cho said.

“The service is.a place for people to be with the community, particularly people who might be alone during the festive season.“

The carols by candlelight will be held at 120 Anderson Road, Sunshine, from 7.30pm. The community barbecue begins at 6pm.
