A Sunshine North man was arrested this morning as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Police, including members of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a warrant at a residential premises on Eastcote Street shortly after 5am and arrested a 32-year Sunshine North man.
Detectives seized drugs including ice and heroin, a firearm, ammunition, stolen property and a significant quantity of cash.
The man will be interviewed by police.
Drug Taskforce Detective Inspector James Sullivan said the arrest was a great result for police and the community.
“This really highlights the broader damage drug trafficking often has and how it links to other serious offending.
“The Drug Taskforce will continue to target those prepared to engage in serious criminal activity of this nature.”
