Sunshine man charged with child porn offences

A 52-year-old Sunshine man was arrested and charged today following a 12 month investigation into online child exploitation.

Detectives from the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET) executed a warrant at a Sunshine West premises and a Brimbank church  early this morning and arrested the man.

The man has been charged with using carriage service to transmit child pornography and using carriage service to cause offence.

He was bailed and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team is comprised of investigators from Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police targeting the national and international influence of child sexual exploitation offences.
