The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is inviting the community to attend an information session to work towards a resolution on the Sunshine landfill issue.
The community session will run on Thursday, June 22, from 5-7pm at the Kealba Community Centre located at 24 McShane Drive, Kealba.
This session will provide information on:
– Ongoing regulation of the site
– Latest remedial notices
– Updates about recent court hearings.
The EPA says staff will share as much information as possible but there may be some questions that cannot be answered due to ongoing legal action.
The EPA also has a dedicated hotline for residents to get more information and to report odour. Residents can phone the Contact Centre on 1300 372 842, press 2, then press 4.
For languages other than English, residents can call 131 450 or visit the website.
