McCoubrie Avenue in Sunshine West resembles a swamp this morning following a burst water pipe.
Residents posted several pictures on a Sunshine facebook page.
“Water is off… due to a big burst,” City West Water said on its website.
“Crews are working on it and should be done by midday.”
There has been a 20 per cent increase in the number of bursts and leaks in the CWW network compared to the same time last year, CWW say, because of dry weather causing ground movement.
There have been 1012 leaks repaired since December compared to 846 the previous year.
