St Albans Secondary College dominated the runway and the scoring at the Fashion Awards Australia earlier this month.

The school proudly took home the John Claringbold Memorial School Cup after hard-working St Albans students claimed top place.

The cup is presented to the school that receives the most points during the competition.

Fashion Awards Australia is aimed at recognising talented school and TAFE students and new and emerging fashion designers.

The annual awards had 285 entries this year, with the awards night held at Encore Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing.

Among the St Albans Secondary College stars were Julie Lay and Amritjit Kaur.

Julie won the year 11/12 designer of the year gong and placed third in two categories.

Amritjit received the year 9/10 designer of the year award and placed second in two divisions.
