Students take aim at Pacific School Games

Two St Albans and Caroline Springs Netball Association players are set to make an impact when they take to the court at the Pacific School Games in December.

Salesian College student Amelia Cini and Sydenham Hillside Primary School’s Maison Day were recently chosen to be part of the Team Vic 12 years and under netball team at the games in Adelaide from December 2-8.

The girls, pictured, will be competing against teams from 15 other countries at the games.

Team Vic netball state team project officer Jeanetta Rodwell said Amelia and Maison were chosen for the squad following great performances in the trials with School Sport Victoria, which began in March.

Ms Rodwell said the team comprises students from across Victoria.

Both Amelia and Maison began playing netball at SACSNA when they were six years old, and say they have lived and breathed netball ever since.
