Stallholders and sponsors who want to be part of next year’s 25th St Albans Lunar New Year festival have a week to register.
The annual St Albans Lunar festival is a well-established large-scale local event that marks the Chinese New Year. This year more than 80,000 people from around the state attended the Alfrieda Street festival.
The event also offers an opportunity for stallholders to sell and showcase their product to a large audience while being a sponsor provided a company with visibility leading up to and during the festival with benefits such as logo placement on event marketing material and main stage banners.
Supported by Brimbank Council, the family-friendly festival includes dragon and lion dances, traditional Vietnamese music and dancing, a variety of food, stalls, merchandise, entertainment, rides and fireworks.
The Chinese New Year is the most important and the longest celebration in the Chinese calendar.
Chinese New Year 2023 will be on Sunday 22 January and heralds the Year of the Water Rabbit which represents hope and prosperity.
The St Albans Lunar festival will be held in Alfrieda St, St Albans, on Sunday 15 January 2023, from 10am to 10pm.
