A woman was threatened with a sword and machete during a robbery outside a licensed premises in St Albans at the weekend.
Armed crime detectives believe three men attended the McKechnie Street venue just after midnight on Saturday and threatened a female employee as she was leaving work.
The men produced a sword and machete, before making demands for cash.
A large amount of cash and the woman’s handbag were stolen before the offenders fled on foot.
The three men are described as tall, thin build and wearing dark clothing and masks.
The 47-year-old female employee wasn’t physically injured as a result of the incident.
