Sports fans to be spoilt in Taylors Hill

Western Bulldogs fans have one last thing to tick off their list to complete a memorable 2016 season – head to Taylors Hill Retirement Village this Sunday.

A signed Footscray VFL poster, a Sydney Swans jumper and a framed photo of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson will be just a few of the items going under the hammer at a fundraising auction at the village’s annual spring fair on October 9.

There will be something to suit almost every sporting taste when the auction starts at 11am, with other items including signed and framed North Melbourne and Geelong team photos, two signed Collingwood caps, a West Coast Eagles jumper and a hat and scarf from English Premier League club Arsenal.

A real collector’s item is a jumper signed by all of Essendon’s 2016 squad before 12 of its players were given 12-month bans.

The fundraising event will not be a total sports-fest – there will be plenty of prizes up for grabs, a spinning wheel, stalls, Devonshire teas, a barbecue, lots of pre-loved goods for sale, second-hand books, plants, craft and cakes.

For further details, call Glenn, 0414 665 041 or Alex, 9307 5245.
