Brimbank residents are being encouraged to share their original stories in their first language as part of the Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival.
One of the features of the festival is the Story Stroll project, where written pieces about 200 words each, will be displayed in three shopping centres across the municipality as part of a trail to promote the festival.
The aim of this project is to give community members an opportunity to participate in the BWRF, share their original stories in their first language while also encourage people back into local shopping strips to support small business.
Submissions are now open until January 16.
The festival is in March.
