A group of Brimbank senior citizens have been making the most of the series of fun events available as part of the 2022 Victorian Seniors Festival.

Keilor Library hosted a creative life writing workshop on Thursday, October 6.

Upcoming events as part of the festival will include a tour of the new Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre with afternoon tea on Monday, October 24, various other events around Brimbank including the Be Bold Festival and shows at The Bowery Theatre and weekly learning programs at Brimbank libraries designed for seniors to reflect on approaches to wellbeing, supporting health and helping to overcome isolation.

Disability, Ageing and Carers Minister Colin Brooks said this year’s events represented a wide range of interests.

“It’s just one way we say thank you to seniors for everything they do,” he said.

Event vacancies are filling up fast, so bookings are recommended.
