A second man has been charged following a firearms incident in St Albans late last month.
Police have been told there was an altercation between three people near a fast-food restaurant on St Albans Road about 8.45am on August 28.
A firearm was discharged and the one shot fired hit a blue Holden Commodore.
A man and woman allegedly involved in the altercation the fled in the Commodore.
The Commodore was then involved in a collision with a marked police vehicle and the man and woman allegedly fled the scene.
They were arrested a short time later.
The Brooklyn man was charged on August 28 with reckless conduct endangering life and has been remanded to appear in court this week.
A 21-year-old Werribee woman was released pending further enquires.
A 40-year-old Point Cook man has since been charged with discharge firearm into vehicle, conduct endangering life and other firearm offences.
He has been remanded to appear in court in December.
