Witnesses are being sought following a stabbing in Sunshine on Saturday night.
Protective Service Officers saw a 38-year-old man covered in blood, at Sunshine train station about 9.45pm on December 9.
The victim ran from the PSOs along Hampshire Road before collapsing on the nature strip.
A blood trail led investigators to the intersection of Harvester and Devonshire roads where they believe the assault took place.
The victim, who sustained head injuries and stab wounds to the abdomen, remains in a stable condition in hospital.
