Police are on the lookout for a serial petrol thief suspected of more than 20 drive-offs across Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Investigators believe the same woman has been involved in up to 24 petrol drive-offs in Melton, Taylors Lakes, Ravenhall, Burnside, Derrimut, Deer Park, Kealba, Ardeer, St Albans and Sunshine.
On each occasion the woman has been driving a dark-coloured older model Mitsubishi, possibly an Outlander, with false number plate registration RYI 757.
Investigators have released images of a woman who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
She is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged between 25-and-35-years-old, with a stocky build, and long blonde hair which at times has been died pink.
