All things science will be celebrated at Brimbank libraries during the next two weeks.

Brimbank council has packed its events calendar with science-themed events to mark National Science Week, which runs from August 10-19.

National Science Week is held annually to celebrate science and technology across Australia. Last year, more than 1.2 million people across the country participated in events aimed at encouraging younger people to learn about the world they live in.

Brimbank’s science week celebration will kick-off on August 6, with a trivia session from 2-3pm.

Other events include a Chameleon Putty workshop at St Albans library on August 7; a bubble science workshop at Sydenham library on August 8 and hands-on science experiments at St Albans, Deer Park and Sunshine libraries on August 14 and Sydenham and Keilor libraries on August 15.

The events are being held free of charge but bookings are essential.
