The annual Saint Side Show & Shine is returning to St Albans on February 5.
The free event is a celebration of bicycles and also includes a car show. It will run between noon and 6pm at Green Gully reserve.
Saint Side’s Mark Gale said he was looking forward to the event.
“We have been running this event for the past 14 years and have made some amazing memories at them, and are looking forward to making even more” he said.
“The event is a truly unique and well-loved day in the west, and it is a chance for all those in the community to come along and celebrate a shared interest. I personally have had an interest in bikes since I was very young so it is great that at these family events you get to see parents passing on the interest to their kids.
“I travelled for a bit when I was younger, and when I returned I felt a buzz of creativity so I channelled my interest in bikes into building them, which led to the opening of the shop and ultimately this event.”
Bicycles and bike riding is welcome at the event. Those attending are advised to bring a helmet, as it will be required to enjoy the facility and bike track in full and to to participate in activities such as the drag race, and the longest skid.
There will also be a DJ and food stalls.
