The Lions Club of Sunshine will be back in action to help make people’s cars safer earlier next month.
The club will hold its second Safe Plates Day event at Bunnings Sunshine on March 6.
Local police and SES members will also be present as they provide and install screws to safely secure number plates on cars.
Lions club president Kylie Luu said after a successful first event, they were keen to get back into the community.
“Because of the success of the first one we wanted to do another one,” she said.
“There’s that connection with the community.”
Last time the club raised more than $350 from gold coin donations.
Sunshine Bunnings has also invited sporting clubs to come along to the store on the same day, with a sausage sizzle and kids activities also being held.
The event is running March 6, between 9am and 4pm.
