The Royal Australian Navy will be making a visit to Sunshine West on March 22 to play in a special T20 cricket match against the Sunshine Heights Cricket Club.

The community is invited to attend the match which will feature Navy Cadets and representatives from the Navy taking the field.

Attendees will be able to see presentations from various members including representatives from the Navy, Big Bash and cricket club.

Australian Navy inter-cultural advisor Zulkarnain Shah Naim said the event is able to create connections and show how the Navy connects with the community.

“It goes beyond the cricket,” Mr Shah Naim said.

“It’s the bigger statement that Navy’s trying to make with community and that is, we are part of community, we want to be a part of community and we also want it to be known that we support community because at the end of the day, we protect the people that we reflect.”

The event will begin from 4pm on March 22.

Food and drinks will also be on offer.
