A Taylors Lakes man has died in hospital overnight following a road rage incident on the Western Ring Road in Ardeer earlier this month.
The 37-year-old passed away around midnight last night.
Two men – 31-year-old Christopher Orfanidis from Sunshine West and 39-year-old Bill Panagiotidis from Maribyrnong – have already been charged over the incident which occurred just after midnight on July 5 on the Ballarat Road off ramp of the Western Ring Road.
The men were arrested on July 17.
Sunshine West man Christopher Orfanidis, 31, was charged with six assault related charges.
Those charges will now be reviewed following last night’s death.
Orfanidis is due to face court tomorrow for a filing hearing, though police are expected to lay new charges.
Homicide Squad detectives are currently liaising with investigators from Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit.
