Creative young bakers have been decorating their cakes and eating them too.
Caroline Springs library last week held cupcake-decorating classes for children aged 6-12.
Event organiser, Mandi Bell said the cupcake classes have been a great way for the community to celebrate Christmas.
“This summer Melton City libraries will host over 70 free events throughout the community with these delicious Christmas cupcakes being one,” she said.
“We love to get into the festive spirit
and share our library spaces with our community, and what better way to do it than with food?”
The children enjoyed getting creative and produced an assortment of colourful designs.
Sweet Mayada Cakes, a local Caroline Springs business, provided the delicious cupcakes and fun decorations. They offered hands-on training and demonstrated festive decorating ideas to the class.
“The kids are enjoying a hands-on training workshop to learn some cake decorating skills that will prepare them for the upcoming merry season,” Ms Bell said.
