Ring Road closed following accident

UPDATED:

Motorists are advised to plan ahead for the afternoon peak on the Western Ring Road outbound bound with delays expected.

The M80 is closed between Keilor Park Drive and the Calder Freeway after a fatal accident and fire this morning.

There are currently significant delays back to Furlong Road.

Motorists are exiting at Keilor Park Drive and can then detour to re-enter the M80 from the Calder Freeway or from Airport Drive.

Other alternatives include Ballarat, Station, Kings, Taylors and Green Gully roads to reach the Calder Freeway, or using the West Gate Freeway and Citylink/Tullamarine Freeway.
