Sunshine West father of two and long-time member of Freemasons Victoria’s Western District, Emmanuel Marabeliotakis is riding for the kids this month, and raising much needed funds for Barnardos Australia.

Barnardos Australia listens, acts, and advocates for the safety of children who are at risk of abuse and neglect, and provides family support programs and services that empower children.

Mr Marabeliotakis has set a goal of riding 200 kilometres and raising $5000 for the organisation this month, taking on the Champions Ride challenge.

Mr Marabeliotakis said he is very motivated to jump on his bike and, with help from the community, hopefully exceed his fundraising goal.

“No one deserves to live in fear, especially not our kids,” he said.

“They need all the support and as many opportunities as possible, to get the start they need in life, and have a positive future.

“If I can help just one child to reach their potential through my ride for Barnardos Australia, then I will be happy.”

Mr Marabeliotakis said he wanted to call on the Brimbank community to support him on his ride as he “clocked up the k’s” for vulnerable children.

Mr Marabeliotakis has raised over $7300 so far, and is halfway to his kilometre goal.
