Derrimut Hotel staff are jumping out of their skins to serve a pot and parma when as the pub reopens today.

General manager Michelle Morrow said ahead of the opening that they couldn’t wait to welcome people back.

“We are really excited to welcome the community back into the hotel for a nice COVID-safe cold beer and a parma,” she said.

“There’s nothing better than a beer from the tap.

“It’s giving people something to look forward to and it’s super exciting. We want to showcase what we have done for decades.”

Ms Morrow said they had been busy during the lockdown with staff training, making sure all staff were vaccinated and launching an app for customers.

She said if everything goes to plan, they will be in for a big couple of months.

“We’ve got a Spring Carnival menu up and we’re looking at the Christmas menus as well.

“There’s lots of good things happening.”
