This year’s Anzac march will have added significance for the Caroline Springs RSL.
The club is set to officially dedicate its Tree of Life memorial in honour of those who fought in World War I.
Caroline Springs RSL president Andrew Marshall said it was a fitting way to cap off the event.
“The memorial has been there for a little while now and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity and time to officially dedicate it,” Mr Marshall said.
The march will be held on Sunday, April 22 from 10.30am.
Members will assemble near the fire station on Caroline Springs Boulevard near the Hungry Jacks.
This year the First Caroline Springs Scout Group will be joining the march.
Mr Mashall said school groups are welcome to join them on the day.
“We love to see younger faces taking part in the commemorations, we’re a young sub-branch and we’re keen to educate and integrate the youth in our community,” he said.
Adding to the occasion, members will wear their medals for the march.
Mr Marshall said it’s all part of a busy month for the branch.
“We’ve got our dawn service on Anzac Day, which is always a big event with over 2000 people attending and we’ve also got our Anzac Appeal going where we sell our badges.
“We’d ask the community to come along and join us in the commemorations and if they’re in a position to do so, to buy a badge.”
