Red Cross volunteer call

Australian Red Cross Emergency Service teams are seeking more volunteers in regional and urban communities across Victoria.

Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. The organisation is strengthening and extending its emergency services so all Australians can prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.

Red Cross invites community members to join the organisation as a volunteer. You would join a group of nearly 800 volunteers across Victoria, ready to assist locally and across the state in times of emergency.

The Emergency Services team supports people and communities before, during and after emergencies. The team’s work spreads far and wide, including supporting communities, groups and individuals to prepare for emergencies as well as assisting with response and disaster recovery.

“Australian Red Cross values our emergency service volunteers, who are always there when needed. This is an incredible opportunity to support the Red Cross and people and communities. Come and join us,” said Lisa Devlin, director Victoria at Australian Red Cross.

“Being an Emergency Services leader at Red Cross has allowed me to serve and give back to my community,” added Helen, a Gippsland volunteer
