An art exhibition being run as part of the Midsumma Festival is leaving the audience with questions.
Entangled by Genevieve Collier is an installation for people whose answers often spurn more questions and who believe in the power of art.
The exhibition explores forgotten people from the past and the potential of an unknown future.
Some of the questions coming from the exhibition include can art mend some part of a broken world?
Is there a way that people grouped under an umbrella of oppression to live in unity despite intersecting differences? Can the small act of drawing, scribbling, writing or interacting with an artwork bring a community together?
The work has been created by Collier who is an educator, painter, zine maker and jack of all artistic trades.
Collier is passionate about the western suburbs, where the exhibition finds a home.
The exhibition which is at the Hunt Club in Deer Park runs until March 17.
