From March next year, Victorians, including those in Brimbank, can access another $250 towards their energy bills, should Labor be re-elected on November 26.
“Private energy companies rely on people not getting the best deal on their power. The Power Saving Bonus means more money in people’s pockets now – because while big companies value profit, we value people,” a Labor statement said.
In his announcement on Sunday, November 13, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said if Labor is re-elected the party would deliver a $424 million training package for the State Electricity Commission.
“Bringing back the SEC is about more than just energy – it’s an opportunity for generations of Victorians to get the skills, training and careers they deserve, keeping the lights on and power bills down,” Mr Andrews said.
“The SEC will fundamentally transform our energy system. But when it comes to making sure Victorian families have the cheaper bills and energy security they need – we won’t waste a moment, delivering another round of the Power Saving Bonus ahead of next winter.”
