Primary school building fire

Thirty-four firefighters were dispatched at 12.53am on the morning of 27 October for reports of a shed fire in the grounds of Cairnlea Park Primary school.

The fire was contained to what is believed to be a machinery shed with minor extension and structural damage to the school gymnasium.

The fire was under control at 1.31am.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) said it remained on scene following the fire to monitor any hot spots within the structures.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by FRV investigators.

Police and paramedics were on scene assisting FRV operations.
